PETER BARTON

FILM: Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter (1984).
Character: Doug.
Minutes On Screen Until Death:65.
Death By: Head crushed against titled wall in shower.
Did They Deserve It? Well, maybe. Poor Doug is the nice guy but a bit of a sap and he does take the virginity of the film's female innocent Sarah in one of the more genuinely erotic sex scenes the Friday series has to offer.
Best Scene: Pete as Doug, really has nothing much to do in the film, up until his shower scene, than look pretty and that he does. The character's fashion sense does stand out is several scenes. Notably the short-shorts pictured above and some handsome casual chinos (sap!). But Pete's best scene, and Horror hottiest, has to be the shower scene. After popping the equally sappy Sarah's cherry, he remains in the shower, presumably to wash off his conquest's left overs, makes a 'gay panic' joke about dropping the soap (yum) when he hears Jason enter the bathroom and before you know it SMASH! Pretty Pete/Doug's face is cherry pie! Interestingly the film's director selected Pete as the character to get his face smashed as he was the prettiest of the cast and further made clear his intended homage to Psycho.
Best Quote: "Sarah, I think I'm In Heaven" You will be soon Doug.
Notable Work Before This Appearance: Appeared in another horror film, Hell Night (1981) along side The Exorcist's Linda Blair.
Notable Work After This Appearance: Though working consistently, Pete has spent most of his post-Friday The 13th years in daytime soaps like The Bold & The Beautiful and Young & The Restless. He also appeared in The Love Boat and then again in its titanically-awful 1998 revision The Love Boat: The Next Wave. Maybe if Pete had done what he did to Sarah in the shower scene with some casting directors and producers his career might have been better. A pretty face does not a career make, but if you let the right people sit on it, that's another story.

Horror Hottie Factor: 7/10.
